As Holy Week draws near, Holy Cross continues their observance of Lent as a parish and school community. Students have participated in various activities to strengthen their connections with Jesus during this solemn and sacred season. On March 5, students and staff attended Mass for Ash Wednesday where their received ashes on their forehead as an indication of their faith and penance. This solemn Mass began the Lenten season and allowed students to develop their prayerful mindset.
Students also participated in Lenten Confessions which allowed them to reconcile their relationship with God. Every Friday, students attend the Way of the Cross (Stations of the Cross) in the Holy Cross Church where they retrace on Jesus' journey as he approached his death. Following along in their booklets, students pray and reflect on each of the Stations and Jesus' ultimate sacrifice. To view more pictures of The Way of the Cross, click here.
