Theme: Celebrating Your Community A central aspect of Catholic education is learning the importance of SERVICE to others. Students of Holy Cross take part in service activities - both local and beyond.
Today, students of Holy Cross will come to school in their Phys Ed uniform to participate in the school-wide MARATHON. The proceeds of the Marathon will raise money for the victims of the California wildfires.
Students will receive the attached form to get people to sponsor them. Students in Grades K-3 will walk around the perimeter of the gymnasium for ten (1O) laps. Students in 4-8 will walk around the gym 20 laps. A child could request sponsors, relatives or friends, and request $1.00 PER lap. The more sponsors the child gets, the more donations we can send to the victims of the California wildfire. ALL DONATIONS should be handed in on the day of Marathon, Monday, January 27th. The class with the highest amount of sponsor donations will have a Pizza Party on the day of their choice. They will also have a Dress-Down Day on the day of the party.
