Theme: Celebrating Nation and Culture The strength of Catholic schools comes from the multi-cultural and diverse composition of our school communities. We recognize the significant contributions of many families and educators to prepare our students to be good citizens. One important trait that we encourage in school is the sense of pride for our nation and appreciation for cultural heritage. Today, students may come to school wearing the colors of their NATIONAL HERITAGE FLAG. If their cultural heritage is of Latino, they may come to school wearing the color of the flag of their country of heritage (Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Guatemala, etc...). If their cultural heritage is Asian, they may come to school wearing the colors of the flag of their country of heritage. Better still, we invite them to come to school proudly wearing COSTUME of the country of their heritage.
We have school mass scheduled at 9:45 am on this day. Students will receive "Blessings for allnations, blessings fortheGIFT of DIVERSITY." In class, they will have time to create or draw the Flag of the country of their cultural heritage. Facilitated by the teacher, students can share their insights, culture, traditions, and practices to their classmates and friends.
